I get some critics from one of my managers and my grandparents but, I’ve been fortunate enough to not be harshly judged by my stretched ears. I’ve had more people respond positively towards my choice of stretched ears. At the end though, I love them and no one’s opinion will change that for me!
The reason I started stretching my ears was to help let myself feel comfortable with my image and body. To sort of say to heck with all the judgement, especially considering I was so concerned with what people thought of me. I’ve had my ears stretched for 4 years now and am at 5/8. In a way I do still feel judged for it, but I can make fun with it now. Since I’ve started stretching I’ve become more confident with myself. I still won’t wear tunnels while I’m at work though, haha!
With an old fashioned family such as mine, having stretched ears is “a sin” ? I’m judged all the time for having gauges…but that never stopped me from stretching, as you can see from my half inch earlobes(;
I live in an area that’s not too fond of things bodymod. I had my ears up to an inch and people would always make comments. I sadly had an allergic reaction to the acrylic plugs I would wear so I took them out. Now I’m back down to 1/2 and with nothing to wear and people still comment. Its slightly irritating.
Sometimes I feel judged, but in reality, it doesn’t matter what other people think of my appearance as long as the most important people in my life don’t mind them.
