I feel that although many people have judged me for having stretched my lobes, I have also maintained kindness and understanding of their ignorance. Many times when I feel that someone is looking at my ears in “disgust”, by the end of our conversation or interaction they have realized they have unfairly judged a person based on their appearance. Working in the customer service industry you encounter these types of people A LOT. However, I feel confident that I have changed some minds about the “stereotype” many place on people who choose to stretch their ears. And knowing that gives me all that much more confidence to show ’em off!
Alright so I haven’t had any major judging when it comes to this topic. I mean I already have people commenting on how many ear piercings I have so maybe I’m used to it?
My dad looked at my diath piercing and was like, Does that go into your skull? Haha, I love him.
I was really nervous about finding a job with stretched lobes but surprisingly a lot of companies are very laid back about these things. Now of course if I applied to a 5 star restuarant they’d probably want me to remove every piece of jewelry.
People will judge you. But they will always do that right down to the shoes you wear.
Just do you and feel comfortable in your skin. I mean I feel super confident with my piercings and stretched ears. They mean everything to me and I want more piercings!
If you are in a work environment that’s like nope. Don’t remove everything and have them close up! Invest in plugs or jewelry that blend into your skin! Jobs won’t last forever but your piercings and your stretched lobes will. If you make it happen!
People will judge but just smile big and flip your lobes as you walk by them!
Yes all the time. I love the way they look though so it doesn’t bother me anymore.
Yea I feel I get a scorned looks often
Sometimes I do, but not very often. One time this my exbfs dad, the first time I met him, told me “Did anybody ever tell you that you’re white? Why you got (n word) ears?” 😒 but he actually used that terrible word
