I get judged all the time at work for my stretched ears. I have 3 in each ear (4g, 2g, and 00g, so they’re not huge) but I can see it in the way people look at me and I’ve even had a lady tell me that she “ought to slap me across the face” because I have tattoos and piercings, then proceed to say that she should make me go clean her house. People will judge everywhere you go, but you don’t have to let it bother you!
Normally by the older generation. They’re always saying ewww or why are you trying to be like people in Africa or that looks nasty take them out
I do all of the time. I get asked," does it hurt?", “You know that looks trashy”, or my personal favorite," Cani i touch them?". But thou judged I love my 14mm (9/16th) plugs and I am never going back.
Of course I used to feel that way, but as the years went on I’ve really began to ignore it. The stares and questions regarding them roll off my back anymore.
My advice is, if it worries you now, it won’t always. Do it if it’s what you want to do, no matter what some else will say.
Older generations often judge because they have a different concept of the word “beautiful” and plus don’t fit into that vision.
