Chatting with a coworker and told her I love my stretched ears but get bored with my appearance and she goes “yeah imagine being 50 and having stretched ears haha.” Hahaha yeaaah imagine….
I think I will, but it’s hard to say. I’m only at a 0g, figuring that this will be a good size if I do ever decide to take them out it will shrink back up a little nicer. I’m all for body mods for older people!
I’ve had my ears at an inch for 24 years. I’m 42 now and started when I was 17 I am a little annoyed that it’s become so mainstream bit I’m proud of them and love them all the same
Yes. I don’t regret any modification I’ve made to my body, because each thing I’ve done to it tells my story. Even if someday I don’t like the look of stretched ears or visible tattoos anymore, I’ll never regret it. I won’t try to change what I’ve done. Modifying my body has given me confidence I could’ve never imagined before.
Well, I’m in my early 40s and I first started stretching my ears over 20 years ago. I am choosing to remain at the 1/2" size though. My goal was never to have the largest holes. I simply like the look of plugs. I’m a mom and a high school teacher, and an all around punk for life, so no, I will not “outgrow” them. In fact, I can’t wait to be a senior citizen, walking around with all of my body mods. Besides, there will be a lot of us! I love that more types of self-expression (ie tattoos, piercings, dyed hair, etc.) are now accepted in society in spite of age, gender, race, type of job one holds, socioeconomic status, and so on.
