What are Ear Hangers?

Ear Hangers are longer plugs that hang from your stretched ears. Ear hangers are lighter than ear weights and do not give the same gravitational weight stretch. Two Feather Plugs carve their Ear Hangers in organic material such as wood, bone, or horn.
Ear hangers enter your stretched ears from a narrow point that gradually increases in thickness until it increases to the gauge thickness of your stretched ears. Once the ear hangers are in the right place they typically can stay in your ears. Many customers use rubber orings to help keep the hangers secure in their stretched ears.

Ear Hangers should not be worn for a long period of time
Ear Hangers are more of an ornamental type of ear stretching jewelry. The different shapes and designs can cause a stretch to be uneven in your stretched ears. You always want to get a nice even stretch. We always recommend wearing a round plug for the majority of the time while your ears are stretched. This will ensure a nice even stretch.

What is the difference between ear weights and ear hangers?
Although both ear weights and ear hangers hang from your stretched ears the basic difference between them are weight. Ear Weights will have much more weight to them that will cause more of a stretch on the ear. Another main difference between ear weights and hangers is hangers fit more snug in your ear and are made for your size ears. Weights can be smaller and hang from the bottom of your stretched ear lobe.
