Money goes to Help Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando

One of our main missions here at Two Feather Plugs is to help animals in need. A portion of each of Two Feather’s sales goes to helping animals live the lives they deserve. We feel that compassion is rooted in everyone and helping animals is a source to finding and growing this compassion.
Most of our donations go to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. We not only donate a portion of our sales, but we volunteer our time by fostering both cats and dogs. We also encourage our employees’ to volunteer and work shifts at the shelter and events.
Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando educates, shelters, places, and heals pets and their families with compassionate, responsible care maintained to the highest professional standards.
More than 5,000 homeless dogs and cats will turn to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando for caring, compassion and hope through our animal shelters this year. Pet Alliance provides food, medical care and shelter for dogs and cats until they find their new homes. The average length of stay for dogs is 8 days and for cats is 15 days. Pet Alliance’s live release rate averages around 99%, making it what is considered a “no kill” shelter.

Two Feather Plugs is constantly having fosters come and go from Pet Alliance. There have been over 50 cats and dogs that have come in and out of our doors. Pet Alliance is always in need of donations. In September 2022 there was a fire that destroyed their main facilities along with taking the lives of 17 dogs and cats. 45 cats and dogs were saved that night, but the entire facility is no longer available and they are currently rebuilding a new facility.
