What was the rudest comment someone made regarding your stretched ears?
July 28, 2021 / by Alex Peace
We have been asking our customers a few questions about their ear stretching journey.
Today we asked our customers. "What was the rudest comment someone made regarding your stretched ears?"
Although I get more compliments than rude comments there are always people that cannot be open-minded in this world and need for some reason to voice to me their opinion.
Below are some of our other favorite answers to what our customers have been told about their stretched ears...

“You know you don’t have to to do all that... You’d look really fine without it.” —regarding my piercings and tattoos..

It wasn't terribly rude but I was working retail and some older guy said "I've never seen such a conservatively dressed gal with those big holes in her ears before..." It was super weird. I was wearing jeans and a flannel shirt.

My aunt telling me I was going to hell because of my stretched ears.

Not necessarily rude, but definitely the strangest thing to happen to me since stretching my ears. A guy was hitting on me at a bar and decided to put his finger in my stretched ear as a way of flirting. Very strange, very uncomfortable experience.

Someone told me I looked like a bitch because I had stretched ears and that all people with stretched ears are assholes and losers

Wasn't really a certain thing said but when I first started working at McDonald's they told me I couldn't wear plugs while at work so I had to just naked earlobe it.... I got a lot of nasty grossed out looks from customers. Like dude same. I wish I could wear plugs while I worked. I finally convinced them to let me wear flesh colored ones....

I have been told “you could have been beautiful but you did that to yourself”

To be fair, I have received “rude” comments and ridiculous stares but personally, I have gotten more compliments about my stretched ears(from elderly ladies at that!) than negative ones. Especially since I started buying from Two Feather Plugs people fall in love with my plugs and hangers
Stacie
Had a co-worker tell me I was going to hell for my body modifications.

Random woman: Does your mom know you have those in your ears?
Me: She saw me put them in there when I was 12 so obviously.
Random woman: Why did she let you do that?
Me: Because I’m a bastard child.
Random woman: Looks horrified and walks away
(This happened when I was about 16 or 17)

My ex-husband used to tell me that my stretched ears were trashy and that there's no way he could be sexually attracted to me as long as I had anything but regular earrings. My mother calls me a freak because of them and my tattoos/other piercings. Mind you, my ears are only 10mm... At the time I was enduring degrading remarks from my ex, my ears were 2g.

I live in a small country town. Ear Stretching is not very common at all. So I get a lot of horrible looks and dumb questions. Or just rude comments in general. I've had them since I was 14. It's been 12 years and I'll never change. Loooovvvveeee having my ears stretched!
The rudest comment I've gotten was that "I'm going to be embarrassing to my son when he's older with my tattoos and saggy ears, and I'll never find a good man."
She was an old white prude. I laughed at her in the middle of Piggly Wiggly and kept on walking. I truly found it hilarious.
I also once had a dude ask me if he could use my "ear hole," as a cock ring.
Heather
I get a lot of, “Why did you do that?” Or, “That looks painful. I could never do it.”

I've been flat out called disgusting, dirty, etc on multiple occasions - my ears aren't even that stretched! I just upped to 1/2" after five years. Obviously, I don't particularly care what anyone thinks of my aesthetic choices; I'm considering nudging up just a teensy bit more... Lol
Emma
Customer: “Does your husband even like those?”
Me: “Sir, my husband’s lobes are twice the size of mine”

I’m a Nurse- in a nursing home.. so I get a lot of questions, and a lot of “you have a hole in your ear..” comments.. now and then I get “you could be so pretty if you didn’t have those THINGS in your ears”.. but I’ve had my gauges for 23 years- I’m used to it.

I did have friends try to convince me not to stretch my ears when I told them I was thinking about doing it. They told me it was "weird" and I was too pretty to do that to my ears. *eye roll*
A friend's daughter told me she thinks people with stretched ears are disgusting. I also had another friend notice them when they were a size 2G and said "oh God, please tell me you're not making them bigger, that is so awful when people have big holes in their ears" (I have proudly gone bigger - I'm a 0 now and have plans to stretch to 00 in the next few weeks.
I don't let it get me down, people can be really rude. They're just insecure about something in their own lives and look to project that onto others. Stretched ears are beautiful, some people just can't handle style out of the "norm".

I work in a pharmacy, so of course, we get alot of older folks. I get alot of stares and I get asked to take them out to see if it's real.
I did get asked if I thought that I was being a good role model for my kids.
