Do you ever feel judged for having stretched ear?

I used to feel this but eventually got over it.  No need to hear my story we want to hear yours.

Yes, people also question what went through my head when they see it, but I explain to them that I’ve done a majority of my piercings and then they go on to criticize that. My dad always asks me if I’m going to expand them, and I always answer yes, then I receive a disappointed look. My friends appreciate me and the idea of how I design my own body. So.

I used to get judged for my ears all the time, more so when I got up to an inch. But now that I’m at an inch and 3/8ths allot of my friends and family have finally came to terms with the fact I like my ears stretched. I still hear kids sometimes be like mommy/daddy why is that ladies ears so big, and any time a kid asks me about them I always tell them this is something you can decide to do as a grown up. I rather people learn about it so that way they can’t judge as much

At times I feel that I’m being judged but honestly I think so many people have stretched ears that it is the norm now. Back when I was in middle school/high school is when I would say people of a certain style (I guess you can say) had stretched ears and would be looked at like they were the odd ones out, myself included. But so many people have them nowadays that I don’t think it matters anymore. Only sometimes when you get those super conservative people

I have been stretching my lobes since I was about 15 years old. I have never really felt judged because of my stretched ears though. I will be 28 this year and although I have heard plenty of “How in the world can you stand that?!” or “Why are you doing this to yourself?!” so far I haven’t heard any real negativity. Even if I would, I love myself enough to tell them to shove off because it’s my own body and I do what I want with it.. ? just my take.

I feel judged for almost every choice I’ve made; I also feel empowered. I work at a children store that pierces ears. I have parents and grandparents make judgemental statment towards my stretched ears and other piercings. I have little kids ask me if my “Earrings” hurt, how did I do that to my ears, and can they get their ears pierced that big. When I talk to children about my “earrings” it inspires them. They may never stretch their ears but they will have no judgement towards those who do. Despite the judgement I receive, I can always feel empowered by the people I inspire curiosity and genuine wonder in.
