When I first got them at age 16 my parents were the first to judge. My dad told me I was ugly and was trying to be an African person. my mom just told me it’s gonna look nasty when I’m old. others adults when I was still a teenager made their comments too Wonderfully horrible comments too. It did hurt, but i realized why even care what they think? why would they care how i look with my plugs? I love my plugs i think they make me look rad.
When I was younger in my teen years I used to feel judged more for all of my piercings and gauges. Today it seems to be much more widely accepted. Now I get tons of comments on the unique plugs I’ve bought. Especially my Two Feather Plugs! I have the Tim Burton style hangers and some beautiful wooden tear drops that people LOVE!
I still struggle with the older generations not staring or making the typical comment “oh why would you do that to yourself” but I just kindly explain my reasons and even if they dont understand I still love my lobes!
No, never have because I do me and could care less what anyone else thinks. (I do notice people’s eyes focused in on my ears sometimes…I just tilt my head a little like, “yeah…my eyes are over here”. Lol
Only by my mom. But she still loves me. c:
