We asked our customers how old they were when they started to stretch their ears. Before I start discussing the results I am sure there is some city out in the USA where a mom could sue me because their son or daughter read this article. So for that person, my answer is you should wait until you are an adult, or 18 years old!! :)
Now that my legal personal disclaimer is out of the way let's get to what Two Feather's customers had to say...
At what age did you start stretching your ears?
Believe it or not, most of our customers started stretching their ears when they were 14 years old! Close behind was 15 years old. 72% of our customers started to stretch their ears before the age of 20.
The youngest person we had on our list started stretching their ears at 11 years old. The oldest person started stretching their ears at the age of 56 years old.
Patience is a Virtue
We all know the ability to wait for something without frustration is a useful skill and a good aspect of one's personality. Patience is the key to stretching your ears successfully. If you stretch too quickly you will potentially damage your skin or cause your ears to have a blowout. If you are a patient person you've more likely waited to stretch your ears until you were a little bit older. If you couldn't wait to start stretching your ears you have a higher probability to move quickly during your ear stretching journey and possibly damage your ears.
I actually put this theory into question form to see if our customers thought their age caused them to have a blowout or injured their ears. According to the data collected, the customers who started to stretch at a younger age seemed to have more issues stretching their ears.

At what age should I start stretching my ears?
With the data we collected from Two Feather Plug customers, we found that the average customer said they started at the age of 14. Many of our customers also had issues throughout their ear stretching journey. Mainly because they rushed their ear stretching. Overall our customers were happy with their outcome, but we find that the older you are when begin your ear stretching the more healthy your stretched ears will be.
The bottom line is you need to be a patient person. The age does not matter as long as you are patient. If you are able to wait for the recommended 2 month minimum between sizes then you are probably ok to start stretching.
