What are Ear Saddles?
June 10, 2022 / by Alex Peace
Ear Saddles are a new style of jewelry for your stretched ears. Ear Saddles will fit on the bottom part of your stretched ear lobe and sit like a horse saddle.
Ear Saddles will only fill part of your ear. Typically they run along the bottom side of your ear and the upper part of your ear is open and nothing is covering the top of the ear. The top part of the ear saddle is typically open and flesh.
Two Feather Plugs typical ear saddles we sell are round. They are not a fully closed round circle. The sizes we sell of ear saddles are typically between 2 gauge all the way up to 1 inch.
The most popular material we use for our ear saddles is Stainless Steel. They typically are available in either black or silver colors.
What Gauge Saddle should I get?
Two Feather Plugs sell their ears saddles to fit your current gauge. So if you have a 0 gauge normal round plug you would purchase a 0 gauge saddle from us. They are manufactured to fit the size of your gauged ear.
How do I get Ear Saddles into my ears?
Ear saddles are pretty easy to get into your stretched ears. You start by inserting them into the bottom of your lobe and running your finger around the top of the ear. The ear saddle should follow your finger and glide right in. How should I wear Ear Saddles?
Ear Saddles are not meant to be worn for an extended amount of time. They are not everyday wear. The best thing you can have in your stretched ear is a round plug. When you have a saddle in your ear it is not perfectly symmetrical and could cause some uneven stretching over time. Don't get me wrong. These saddles are gorgeous and you should show them off.
A simple ear saddle can be used along with an ear weight to help with the disproportion of the ear weight. This will help take some of the weight off the bottom of the ear and distribute it around more of the bottom of the ear. Although you are still not getting a proper stretch when you have a round plug it does help compared to if you are only wearing an ear weight by itself. Again, you should only wear this combination for a short period of time.
