Always stretch your ears slowly.
Two Feather Plugs wants you to stretch your ears properly. If you have your ears pierced and are just starting the stretching process we always suggest to stretch very slowly. If you move too fast you will develop scar tissue that will either cause a blowout, infection, or prevent your ear from being stretched further. Always wait until your ears are fully healed before moving on to your next gauge size. You should never being feeling discomfort or pain when you stretch your ear. If you do feel pain or irritation while stretching stop and allow your ear to fully heal. Typically it takes at least a few months for a ear stretched. For more information click here.. Stretching to the next size.
First off we always recommend using a professional piercer to help start stretching and continue on to your next gauge size. If you insist on stretching on your own and you have waited for your ears to heal we have a few tips on how to be more gentle to your ears while stretching. We recommend using our stainless steal stretching kits if you have just started stretching. We recommend taking a shower with warm water to allow your ears to be more elastic and using coconut oil or jojoba oil to help lubricate and ease in the gauges while you insert them. Use stainless steel and not wood or acrylic while stretching. Stainless steel will help prevent bacteria, swelling, or infection. Make sure your ears are ready for this stretched size.
