I wish I had advice from others when I first started stretching my ears. Here is the chance for you to give others some advice.
If you were to give advice to someone just starting to stretch their ears, what would it be?

Don’t rush the stretching process or you’ll blow your lives out. So, if your lobes aren’t cooperating, don’t force a taper in; slowly get your lobes accustomed to the size change.
Don’t rush it even though you want to! I like to take a hot shower and stretch my ears while I’m still in there with stretching oil on my tapers and my ear lobes. Leave it for over a month and pull on it once it’s healed to aid in the stretching. Good luck!
I was told a month an a half before going to the next size. And done be afraid to ask for help. I got to a 2 and could not get the 0 in. I went to a local piercing shop and they used a 1g And then I was able to get to a 0
Go slow, keep them clean, always use a lubricant when going up a size.
Mine took several months but I never had any problems. Rushing the process will cause pain, bleeding, tearing and possibly infection.
DON’T RUSH!
Its not a race!
