I wish I had advice from others when I first started stretching my ears. Here is the chance for you to give others some advice.
If you were to give advice to someone just starting to stretch their ears, what would it be?

Moisturize and clean your ears as much as possible!
You can use any nonharsh lotion and soap. I personally use dial and clean my gauges 2X per day. Let your ears rest at least 2 weeks in between each size.
Don’t rush it! As much as you want that end goal, if you don’t go slowly and heal up in between sizes, you run the risk of tearing your ears up or irritating them to the point that you have to just take your jewelry out anyway. Wash your hands before you go to push that taper and keep your jewelry and ears clean (and massage with jojoba or coconut oil often, you’ll be glad you did!) after you get where you want to be.
My advice to someone is TAKE YOUR TIME! There’s no need in trying to get an inch in 2 months. Be patient and give your ears time to heal and relax. Don’t second guess and go with your gut when it comes to stretching. Yes it hurts but it hurts more if you stretch too fast.
Just be prepared for a bit of pain but also keep things clean best to stress them then to go in unprepared
Take your time! It’s not a race. Use lube to push in tapers and practice good hygiene.
