I had always liked the look; I had worn fake tapers for a couple years. I took a job that allowed body mods, so I started really getting excited. I thought I would stretch all the way to a 2g. Then while at work I started to talk to this girl who was shopping and had hers stretched to 1”. And it looked amazing. I talked to her for HOURS and decided I had to. I’m at 1” now, about a year later. Absolutely love it.
I wanted to stretch my ears when I was younger because I always had issues with my piercings not healing right and stretching them allowed me to wear better metal or acrylics instead of regular earrings. I haven’t had any issues since stretching my first holes, which are 0 gauge, or my second holes, which are 12 gauge.
I love them cause they are a way to express yourself.
for as long as i can remeber ive always loved stretched ears they are beautiful and they give me a bit more self confidence than i had before
I’ve been obsessed with other cultures for as long as I can remember. When I was 11yrs old I read a book about African cultures and was blown away. Some cultures consider gauges and stretching as marks of beauty and I knew I had to do it. So I started stretching them at 11. Twenty years later I still love them. They are a reminder that I’m beautiful even when I don’t see it.
