It is important that when you are stretching your ears that you do it in a healthy and safe manner. One great way to keep your ears clean and clear from infection while stretching is a salt soak. Salt soaks are done by soaking your ears in a warm saltwater solution. The saltwater draws infection from your newly stretched ears and ensures a proper heal.
Salt solutions are a great way to keep your ears from becoming infected, but if they do become infected we recommend going to see a professional. They will better help diagnose the issue. Saltwater helps out tremendously, but it is not the save all cure-all.
Salt Water Recipe for Stretched Ears
- 1/4 teaspoon fine grain non-iodized sea salt to 1 cup warm and clean water.
How To Soak Your Stretched Ears
Think of preparing the solution for your stretched ears the same as you would prepare a cup of tea. Use the same kind of mug you would for tea. Maybe not the actual cup though. Because putting a pussy ear in the same cup you drink out of might be kinda gross. To each their own I guess.
Mix 1/4 teaspoon into your 1 cup of boiling water. Stir the solution with a clean metal spoon (not one you just used in your cereal). Make sure all the salt has dissolved. Allow the solution to cool down (just like you would your tea). You can then submerge your freshly stretched ear in the glass for a good 5 minutes. After 5 minutes you can then rinse your stretched ear in cold water.
Keeping your newly stretched ear clean is extremely important. Do it correctly. A salt solution is a great way to keep your ears clean.

Of course, soaking your in HOT water is a terrible idea. Which is why letting the water cool down was suggested.
I scorched my ear with hot water and got a swollen lymph node a few days later. A warm salt water soak is a bad idea.
