My most difficult size up was from a 2g/6mm to a 0g/8mm. I had sized slowly over the course of a year on my own using gradual stretchers but was unable to do it on my own going from 2 to 0g. I am a tattoo artist so I had my shops piercer stretch them for me, which was much quicker and less painful. Using stretching balm nightly to ease the transition. I’m not going any larger so I’m happy I made it to my goal!
I actually had a double blow out when I tried to stretch up from 3/4". It was extremely painful. I didn’t wait nearly long enough after moving up to 3/4". Now I’m back up to that size and I’m waiting a good long while.
When I was 13 i jumped from a 10 g to a 4 and one could say I definitely felt it. Moral of the story, either get your ears punched clean through or slowly stretch. Shit hurts.
I Stretch my own ears. Even though it’s painful.
