Okay so I’m going to be honest here, I’m a fickle person. As my husband stated I jump from ship to ship mainly. I get bored and want to change things, I want something new. It’s just a weird passionate feeling I get and I have to act on it.
I was raised in a conservative family. My mom was super religious and in the older mindset when it came to piercings. I had to convince her HARD to allow me to get my second love piercings and my dad is similar in belief. So the idea of stretching for a long time was ew no way!
But the more I looked into it and the more I incorporated stretched lobes into my work the more that passionate fickle fire burned.
Soon I was ordering my first set of tapers and plugs!
I wanted to stretch because it’s something new and different! I mean every month I was going up a size, until I got I ok larger sizes then the time frame was longer.
I loved watching the progress of my stretches and caring for them. I mean watching the hole grow larger and taking pics till it’s like, Whoa I can see through to the other side!!
It’s also my rebellious side coming out against my parents. I love them, I really do, but I want to do what I want. I want to gain MY approval.
I also grew greedy and eager to stretch and a part of me likes the feeling. . Teehee. So I began stretching my second love piercings. I’ve seen people with double before, but it’s rare. I was like, I want to be like them! Not like the common one stretch people. But, double stretching will limit how large I can go since they’re both in my lobe.
Bottom line, I wanted something different. Also, my ears are sensitive to metals. But with stretching there’s a vast amount of materials. Organic materials! They don’t hurt my ears but if you’re sensitive I wouldn’t recommend wearing acrylic. I love my stretched ears and I’m still going up in size! Plus I feel like I’m part of a bad*** club!
I always had a lot of issues with metals and so I had to be careful. I accidentally bought these cute horseshoe hoops that were bigger than your standard piercing and just decided I wanted to gauge from there
I stretched my ears because I always liked them and I was dating a guy that had them. I always had really tiny earlobes and I figured I could wear bigger pieces then too.
I stretched after my sister suggested it. She had alot of the same metal sensitivitys i do and since stretching ive never had a problem with my ears again.
