At first it was for medical reasons. I seem to react to metal of all kinds, including titanium! I figured I stretched my ears I could wear stone, glass, and other organic materials. After I made the decision to stretch, I fell in love with some of the jewelry and the look of stretched ears.
I was curious about stretching but I decided to go all in when I had another horrific allergic reaction to earring posts. Almost any metal caused my ears to react in a way that mirrored an infection, so I decided that with stretched ears I could take advantage of the different kinds of materials, and it worked! My ears love them and so do I!
I wanted to stretch my ears because it was something I’ve always wanted to do and I finally started to do.
I’m new at stretching my ears and absolutely love the look
I always loved the look of gauged ears. I thought the style and diversity of plugs and hoops were awesome. I hit 30 something and decided to take the plunge. I’m at 1/2" and love the style. I love chatting about them and giving advice to the younger folks who are looking to start gauging. TAKE IT SLOW, FOLKS!
