I personally have not let my ears close. So I do not know the answer. I always tell people 00g is a safe bet, but we want to hear what you have heard is the "point of no return?"

I’ve been told that if you go past 1g then you can’t close your ears naturally. I’ve gone to 4g before and it’s closed to the point of having to retaper from the smallest size to go back to 4g.
00 was it for me. Now they’re permanently a 4.
I had my ears stretched to 14mm for about 3 years and they went back to about a 14g after probably 4-5 months of having them out because of a job I needed. Personally though i never cared if they went back to normal or not. I wasn’t expecting it.
I have stretched my ears multiple times. This last time I was up to 7/16 and my fiancee didnt like them so I took them out. I missed my gauges, so I tried to put them back in and they have shrunk. Time to start stretching again
I’ve always heard 00 Is the point of no return. Your lobes will steal heal, but you’ll always have a slit or a small hole.
