When inserting tapers in your ears it should be somewhat easy to get into your ears. Once the tapers are in enough to get the tunnels in your ear you should also not be feeling pain when your tunnel is sitting in your ears. Remember to take your time when using our stretching kit.

Can I stretch my ears at home?

This is a your first giant leap for stretching your ears. This is a 2mm jump between sizes. Before this stretch your ears have been used to stretching in 1mm increments. 1mm size increments are a much easier stretch then this 2mm jump. We are not sure why this is a thing. A lot of customers have trouble with this 2mm jump. They also have problems with the jump from 0 gauges to 00 gauges. If you are feeling a lot of pain trying to get to these gauges sizes we have made a fe 7mm and a 9mm single flare plugs that will make things more easy to stretch.

What size should start with if I use a ear stretching kit?

Most regular pierced ears are at 18 gauge or 16 gauge. You can start using our ear stretching kits at 14 gauge. Which will stretch your ear to this first 14 gauge size. Using our 14 gauge tapers in our kits should be a gentle and smooth transition. It should not cause pain to your ear or discomfort. Remember to take things slow. You do not want to cause irritation to your skin or a blowout. So if there is a lot of pain your ear is not ready to stretch to this size. You need to take time between gauge sizes. Do not move to the next tapers, give your ear plenty of time to heal.

If this is the first time using one of our ear stretching kits we have a few recommendations on how to use the kit. We recommend taking a hot shower first. This will allow your ears to be more elastic and better accept the tapers in the the ear stretching kit. Make sure you are using the proper taper gauges for the size one step up from your current size. Do not skip taper sizes while ear stretching. Do not rush the ear stretching process. Skipping taper size can cause a blowout or infection in your ears that will cause issues when you try to continue to stretch your ears. Use the ear stretching kits the way they are supposed to be used.
